Praying for 100 Sponsors

We need to find 100 more committed sponsors in the next month. Please pray with us that God will give us wisdom and connect us with these people. The TOUCH ministry in Uganda current serves lunch and a cup of porridge each day to 400 children. With the cost of food and firewood continuing to rise, the current level of sponsorship will not sustain even that.

UPDATE: as of November 25th, we have 52 of the 100 new sponsors!We still need open doors and opportunities to present sponsorship – we CAN have all the children sponsored in the first part of 2010!

What to Pray for:

• At least 100 new, committed sponsors
• Provision for the school
• Compassion and Urgency
• For wisdom in the use of resources
• Open doors to get the word out
• Provision for sponsors to keep the commitment

Why 100?
We currently have 100 children sponsored at TOUCH. This is not enough to sustain the children we have. By finding another 100 committed sponsors, we will see the situation stabilized. The children will be sure of two meals a day at school. This can mean the difference between a child staying in school or going to work. For the many children who do not eat at home, it can be the difference between life and death.

We have 400 children to care for. Whether they are sponsored or not, the children are there. For years they have found refuge at TOUCH. Even if there is no food, there is still a warm smile and a hug, prayer and encouragement.

Sponsor gifts to Friends of TOUCH are pooled, so that all of the children can benefit. As more children are sponsored, more resources are available to care for the children. Increased sponsorship means more food, more nutrition in the meals, and that teachers can be paid, and children can receive items they need for school.

We will continue to work and pray for sponsors for all of the children. Join us – and let’s see what God will do!
