Who We Are

Friends of Touch is a Christian ministry dedicated to giving children an opportunity and a voice. Our mission is to show Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) the love of Christ in a tangible way – to nurse, equip and release them to be leaders and professionals, and to equip them to reach their God-given potential.

We are a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, and donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

We work with these and other organizations:

TOUCH
The Outreach to Unfortunate Children’s Hurts, in Kampala, Uganda. TOUCH is the ministry run by Sara Sebyala, who started by helping just one little boy in 1997. Now grown, John is an IT guy and works at a radio station and helps with the ministry. TOUCH serves children by providing school feesĀ  and some basic needs for children. Most of the children in TOUCH attend school at Calvary Temple Primary or Calvary Temple Secondary, while some attend other schools. Sara’s dream is to build a children’s village so the children will have good homes and a safe environment in which to grow and learn. Children in our sponsorship program are all enrolled in TOUCH.

Calvary Temple Schools
Calvary Temple Primary and Calvary Temple Secondary Schools serve about 400 children in Kitintale, a neighborhood area of Kampala, Uganda. Kitintale is a poor area, with the majority of people living there earning less than $1.25 a day. There are no boarding facilities at the schools, so children walk very early in the morning to attend class, and return home just before dark. Many, though not all, of the students here are in the TOUCH program.
